Project Manager - Salesforce.com

Security Clearance Eligibility: Must be a US Citizen who is eligible to obtain a Federal Government Clearance.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

    The ideal candidate must enjoy collaborating with small, yet diverse, user teams supporting the agile development of an enterprise business application operating on Salesforce.com’s software-as-a- service (SaaS) platform (force.com). The candidate must be a dynamic facilitator able to work with five sub teams performing critical roles in transitioning an organizations stovepipe environment into an integrated IT solution. The candidate needs to demonstrate solid experience in project management while adapting traditional project management skills to an agile methodology. This position is not to manage the agile developers but rather to work with other project teams comprised of business analyst, data migration programmers, cyber security analysts, and stakeholders to ensure all sub teams are working towards the successful completion of one integrated solution. The ideal candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and project confidence and leadership to the teams.

    Developing concise project documents that conveys “just the right” information to the audience and is adaptable to change throughout the project lifecycle.

    Working with the client onsite to ensure project teams are creating and executing plans that support the timing of agile sprints

    Overseeing and providing leadership and direction to client sub teams supporting the agile development effort on force.com

    Communicate over and over again to client about the merits of small sub team involvement during agile development of the force.com application

    Working with quality assurance team to ensure CMMI requirements are met during agile development effort

    Building a strong customer relationship and develop new business opportunities through success.

    Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines, and demonstrate analytical problem-solving capacities.

    Work within PMO to adopt meaningful policies and procedures to support agile development

    Elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, customers, and other information technology disciplines.

    Conduct research into project-related issues and products.

    Develop and deploy methods that that optimize small team performance.

    Adopt and teach client the productive use of Salesforce social media platform.

    Presentations to customers and senior management.


Qualifications:

    Must be a US Citizen who is eligible to obtain a Federal Government Clearance.

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience.

    PMP certification

    Agile experience

    3-5 years IT project management experience.

    Strong conceptual grasp of technology.

    History of successful project completion and team building.

    Experience interfacing with senior leadership.

    Strong communication skills.

    Desire to work collaboratively with client onsite

    3+ years experience managing IT development projects.

    Experience building and maintaining successful client relationships; high level of business and technical savvy.

    Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely implementation of assigned projects.

    Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent oral and written communication skills, including some experience with technical writing.

    Comfort delegating tasks and managing teams.

    Must enjoy working on-site with stakeholders in planning, executing, and monitoring efforts


 Desired:

    3+ years managing Federal Government IT development projects

    2+ years effort on force.com (application as a service) or years managing

    Experience in leading enterprise implementations

    2+ years managing agile development project
