Network Security Engineer
Description
The candidate will support
the cyber security operations for a large government customer. The individual
will be responsible for performing detailed analysis of security incidents, coordinate
the response per established protocols, and perform remediation activities.
In addition, the
individual will be responsible for performing configuration and management
activities for network and host-based security solutions.
The ideal candidate should
excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and enjoy working with new
technologies on projects with accelerated timelines.
Required Skills
·
Expert
knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
·
Strong
understanding of the TCP/IP networking and experience using commercial and/or
open-source packet analysis tools
·
Firewall:
Cisco ASA/PIX firewall platform, Linux IPTables
firewall configuration
·
Linux
system administration experience (RHEL/CentOS
preferred), especially as related to network capabilities and leveraging
open-source technologies. The individual should be comfortable working in a
non-GUI environment.
·
Detailed
knowledge of web-based services and experience debugging network communication
for these protocols
·
Scripting:
PERL, Python, shell scripting
·
Excellent
oral and written communication skills
·
Experience
with IDS/IPS and content filtering technologies and Bluecoat is desired
Candidate must be able to
obtain a DOE Q clearance.
