Steven Smith
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
As the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Energy Enterprise Solutions, LLC (EES), Steven is responsible for the operational oversight and direction of the company as well as serving as the President of the company in his absence.
With over 30 years of professional experience within the federal government in telecommunications and operations, he has an extensive background and hands-on understanding of project management, quality control, training, and information systems technology concepts, design, implementation, and operations.
Steven is a proven senior manager with strong team building, interpersonal, and communications skills. Prior to joining EES, Steven served as the Chief Operating Officer at the White House Communications Agency during multiple administrations. At the White House, he was responsible for the operational oversight of a $326 million dollar force modernization initiative and an annual budget of $68 million dollars. He also managed 1,100 federal staff and government contractors in the provisioning of secure and non-secure information services for world-wide telecommunications support to the President of the United States, the Vice President, the National Security Advisor, and the United States Secret Service. During the events of September 11, 2001, Steven was responsible for direct oversight of telecommunications support for the President and Vice President.
Steven received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from National-Louis University.
A native of Philadelphia, Steven enjoys the thrill of fast boats and the tranquility of martial arts and scuba diving.
